What is Equipment-Tube.com?

Founded in 2008, Equipment-Tube.com is a video-driven social network designed for equipment enthusiasts. Our users upload and share video clips featuring equipment utilized on construction job sites, farming operations, landscaping jobs and a whole lot more! We are a family-friendly site where people of all ages, races, backgrounds, and nationalities can connect, share, and belong.

What can I do at Equipment-Tube?

Do I have to join to watch videos?

No. You can watch any video simply by clicking on the thumbnail frame of the video. But if you join, you can enjoy all the other cool functions on Equipment-Tube.com! JOIN NOW!

What is the user control panel?

The user control panel is the area located in the upper right corner of the Equipment-Tube site. When you are not logged in, the panel allows you to enter your username and password and can take you to the sign up page if you do not already have one.

When you are logged in, it displays your username and avatar and allows you to log out of Equipment-Tube. Clicking your avatar will take you to your user landing page. Clicking the envelope opens your mailbox.

How do I watch videos?

Simply click on the thumbnail image of any video or its title to play the video.

What should I do if I can't see the videos?

You need to have Flash 8 or higher in order to be able to view videos on Equipment-Tube.Download Adobe Flash Player Here.

What video formats should I use when uploading videos?

We accept avi, mpg, mov, asf, mpeg, xvid,d ivx, 3gp, mkv, 3gpp, mp4, rmvb, rm, dat, wmv, flv and ogg.

I am uploading a video and there is a box for 'Tags.' What are Tags?

Tags are simply keywords that allow users to search for your video. Whenever someone types one of your tags into the search field, your video will be presented in the search results. This is arranged by how closely their search matches your tags.

Can I download videos from Equipment-Tube?

At this time, we do NOT support downloading videos from the Equipment-Tube site. However, we do encourage you to add your favorite Equipment-Tube videos to any website you want! When you view a video, there is a box to the right of video screen that says "Embed". Copy the code in the box and paste it into the section of your site where you want to see the video.

How can I send the link of a video to someone?

Click the "Share this Video" link below the video. Then enter the email address of the recipient in the appropriate field, a brief message, and click "Submit".

Also, you can copy the link to the video’s Equipment-Tube page from your browser’s address bar and paste it into emails and instant messages.

How do I upload a video to Equipment-Tube?

To upload a video onto Equipment-Tube.com, use the following procedure:

Log in or register with Equipment-Tube.
In the top menu, click the “Upload” tab.
Fill in the appropriate fields to name the video, choose tags, and select at least one channel where your video should reside. Then press “Submit”.
On the second screen, click the “Browse” button. Then select the video file on your computer that you want to upload. Choose whether you want the video made “Public” (available to all) or “Private” (viewable only by yourself and those you invite).
Click “Upload”. Uploading your video may take some time depending on the file size and your bandwidth. You can keep track of the upload status with the status bar on the page. Your video will then be available on your personal page. Please give our systems time to process the video before it appears on your page.

What is the user landing page and how do I get there?

The landing page is where you control and manage all of your settings and content on Equipment-Tube. This is the page where you are taken when you log into Equipment-Tube.

To get back to this page once you are logged in, you can get there by either clicking your avatar in the user control panel or by clicking the "Home" tab at the to of each page of Equipment-Tube.

Take some time to click around the landing page and familiarize yourself with it. This is the best way to learn all the features you can control!

What if I don't receive my verification email?

First, check both your email inbox and your junk mail folder for our confirmation email. If you still can’t find it, email us at info@equipment-tube.com.

How do I update my info on my page?

To update your profile information, use the following steps:

Log into your account using the field in the top right corner of the homepage.
From your landing page, click the "My Profile" button located below your picture.
Change the necessary information.
Scroll to the bottom and click "Update Profile".

How do I add/change my profile avatar?

To change your avatar on Equipment-Tube, start from the home page and follow these steps:

Log into your account using the field in the top right corner of the homepage.
From your landing page, click the “My Profile” button located in the top menu.
Under "Personal Information," click the “Browse…” button next to "Upload your avatar" to search your computer’s hard drive for the photo you would like to upload.
Once you have found the one you want, click the “Update Profile” button at the bottom of the page.

How do I read messages that have been sent to me?

Once you log in, you’ll see a “My Inbox” area located to the left of your avatar telling you how many new messages have been sent to you, as well as how many new Friend Requests you’ve received. To view your messages, click on the number, even if it’s “0”. This will take you to your Inbox. Then click on a message subject to view the message.

How do I add videos to my favorites?

First, log in. Then, when watching a video you like, click on the “Add to Favorites” button below the video. You can also add it as a favorite in the video window after the video has played.
